Understanding Asian Handicap Numbers on the Market

Updated over 9 months ago

Asian handicap numbers refer to fractional numbers like 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, etc. Here are some common handicap numbers you might find on Squads Market and their meanings:

1. More than 0.5: This means the pick must have 1 or more in the stats category of choice. For example, if you projected a player to have more than 0.5 tackles, they need to complete at least 1 tackle for your pick to be a win.

2. Less than 0.5: This means the pick must have less than 1 in the stats category of choice. For example, if you projected a player to have less than 0.5 tackles, they must not complete any tackle for your pick to win.

3. More than 1.5: This means the pick must have 2 or more in the stats category. For example, if you projected a pick to have more than 1.5 fouls, they need to commit at least 2 fouls.

4. Less than 1.5: This means the pick must have 1 or fewer in the stats category. For example, if you projected a pick to have less than 1.5 fouls, they must commit 1 foul or less.

5. More than 2.5: This means the pick must have 3 or more in the stats category. For example, if you projected a pick to have more than 2.5 shots assisted, the total number of key passes must be at least 3.

No Ties in Asian Handicap:

One of the key features of the Asian Handicap projection is that there are no ties or voids. This is because the handicap effectively creates a virtual lead or deficit, ensuring that there is always a clear winner. This makes the pick more straightforward, as you only need to consider a win or a loss.
