Understanding Voids in Squads DSF (Daily Fantasy Sport)

Updated over a year ago

A void in Squads DSF refers to a situation where a pick in your lineup is voided for various reasons, leading to the removal of that pick from your entry. Voids ensure fairness and accuracy in the entry outcomes. Here’s a detailed explanation of common scenarios that lead to voids and how they are handled:

Common Scenarios for Voiding a Pick:

A pick on Squads can be voided for several reasons. Here are the most common scenarios:

1. Player does not start the match:

  • If a player you've selected in your lineup is not in the team’s lineup, your pick for that player may be voided.

  • If a player you've selected in your lineup is subbed into the match, your pick for that player may be voided.

  • This rule does not apply to players who started the match but were substituted off.

  • Example: You pick Player A to have more than 80 passes, but Player A is benched and only comes on as a substitute. In this case, your pick will be voided as Player A did not start the match.

2. Postponement or Cancellation:

  • If a game is postponed or canceled due to weather conditions, unforeseen circumstances, or other factors, any picks associated with that game may be voided.

3. Player ties projection:

  • If your player ties the projected stats, it becomes a tie and is also considered a void.

  • For instance, if you project that player A will take more than 2 shots, and player A ends up taking exactly 2 shots, this results in a tie.

4. Platform Errors or Technical Issues:

  • In rare cases, technical glitches or errors on the platform's end might result in voided picks.

  • The platform's support team will usually investigate such issues and take appropriate action to rectify the problem.
