Understanding Match Time And Entry Settlement

Updated over 3 months ago

What Is Considered Match Time on Squads?

For all games on Squads, only the standard 90 minutes and/or any added minutes of regular play are used to settle and resolve entry picks.

This includes:

  • First half (45 minutes)

  • Second half (45 minutes)

In total, this is commonly referred to as 90 minutes of regular play.

Important Clarification
Any form of extra time played after the regular 90 minutes such as the 15-minutes halves of extra time does not count toward match time and is not used for entry settlement.

How Player Participation Affects Entry Picks

To maintain consistency across all entries, we follow a clear rule regarding player participation.

Players must start the match, for a player’s performance to count toward an entry:

  • The player must be in the starting lineup

  • Only stats from the regular play counts

  • The player must start the match from kickoff

If a player does not start the match, play in the match or is substituted in, the player is considered a void. This means the playing time in this case does not count and statistics recorded after substitution are not included.
