At Squads, account verification is an important step designed to protect you and ensure the security of our platform. To make the process transparent, we use verification badges that reflect your account’s current status.
Upon creating a Squads account, it is automatically unverified. At this stage, you will notice a faint grey badge on your profile. This badge indicates that verification has not yet been completed.
After completing account verification, using an approved KYC document (such as your NIN or BVN), and your details are successfully validated, the badge on your profile will update to a green badge with a check mark inside. This confirms that your account is now fully verified and approved. After your account is successfully verified, the verification page will display the status as “Approved.”
Also note that the verification page provides a clear record of all attempts made to verify your account. In some cases, you may see several pending attempts, which reflect the number of times the verification process has been initiated. However, note that once the approved option is displayed on your verification page, your account is verified already regardless of the pending attempts history.
