We're excited to introduce Ice & Flames player projections, a significant update aimed at enhancing your Squads gaming experience. These new projection types offer increased player availability, flexible gameplay, and more engaging opportunities based on your preferred risk level.
What are Ice & Flames Projections?
Ice & Flames projections expand Squads player availability on the market 10 times more than what used to be available. They feature only the "More" option, without the possibility of Flex entries. Entries containing Ice or Flames picks can only be submitted as Standard entries.
Additionally, these projections influence payout multipliers. Depending on your picks, the multipliers can vary significantly:
Safer picks (Ice projections): Lower risk, lower multiplier (e.g., 5 ice picks could give you only 4X).
Riskier picks (Flames projections): Higher risk, higher multiplier (3 picks could give you 15X in some cases).
Ice Projections (Safer Plays)
Ice projections are designed for conservative gameplay, offering lower and more easily achievable lines. Including Ice picks in your entry decreases potential payout multipliers but increases your chances of winning. For example, adding an Ice player could reduce the payout of a typical 4-pick entry from 10X to around 6X. Ice projections are indicated with an Ice icon.
Flames Projections (Riskier Plays)
Flames projections are harder to beat and suit players who have high-risk appetites and want higher payouts. They feature higher lines, increasing the difficulty and risk, but significantly boosting potential payouts. For example, a Flames-focused entry with only two picks could give a 10X or even 20X multiplier. Flames projections are indicated with a Flames icon.
Dynamic Payout Multipliers
Unlike Standard entries, including Flames & Ice projections returns dynamic payout multipliers:
An entry dominated by Ice picks could yield about a 4.5X multiplier for four picks in a lineup
An entry featuring Flames picks could return up to a 100X multiplier for the same number of picks in a lineup
Due to this dynamic payout structure, entries containing Ice or Flames picks are restricted to Standard entries only and cannot be used in Flex entries.
